Lady Bird

Written by bebop composer Tadd Dameron as a tribute to jazz vocalist Billie Holiday, this jazz standard belongs in every jazz musician’s repertoire. With a short 16-bar form, this tune is a great introduction to the harmonic language of bebop, and Mike Tomaro’s setting for Little Big Band includes some added bebop-inspired lines.
