Composed in 2000 and premiered by Mariana Todorova, concertmaster of the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, and pianist Irini Gaitani at the Monumental Theater of Madrid on 1 December 2001. Recorded on Albany Records by Yulia Iglinova Milstein, violin, and Ilona Timchenko, piano. The work distills six different moods and atmospheres in a sometimes virtuosic, sometimes lyrical setting.
