Bogurodzica (Mother of God/Theotokos), Carmen patrium, (Hymn of motherland) is a solemn ornamented setting of the oldest Polish hymnattributed to Saint Adalbert of Prague (955-997) and notated at the beginning of the 15th century. The powerful registration and majestic character of the organ work is inspired by the Grand-Orgue of the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur in Paris.
