Born in Korea, Isang Yun (1917-1995) studied composition in France and Germany. His music employs the practices of the Western avant-garde as well as traditional Asian music. Konzert was first performed in 1991 by Heinz Holliger, oboe, and the Orchester der Beethovenhalle Bonn conducted by Dennis Russel Davies. Duration: c. 23 minutes
