Saxology: Jones

Jones has a medium tempo, straight eighth-note feel with a current jazz sound. The tune features the tenor sax and piano and was inspired by Elvin Jones. Its chord progression is a sophisticated re-harmonization of “Have You Met Miss Jones”—hence its name. Arranged for five saxophones (AATTBar), piano, guitar, double bass, and percussion.
