Herbei, O Ihr Gläub’gen (“Adeste fideles,” or “O Come, All Ye Faithful”) has been arranged for saxophone quartet (AATBar) by Eberhard Michaely. After a rubato introduction, the groove in 5/4 time immediately sets in and runs through the remainder of the piece. The unusual time signature creates a flowing melody. The first alto part features a funky solo, which can be played ad lib or as written.
