A West Highland Fanfare

This exciting concert opener puts a unique twist on the typical fanfare. After a series of exciting melodic statements, the piece cleverly gives way to the popular Scotch-Irish folksong, Loch Lomond. Eventually, original melodies intertwine with the well-known folksong as the piece comes to a dynamic ending. A wonderful fanfare that does not place excessive demands on young musicians!
