Opening with a solemn, yet reverent theme, the music continues to grow until reaching an exciting, rhythmic passage rooted in film scoring traditions. A beautiful lyrical section includes a reference to The Water is Wide, which expresses a scene where the hero thinks about his mother country. The opening themes return once again before the piece fades away in a haunting manner.
