The Pines

There is a “vertical” feel to this piece, which depicts large trees through the generous use of block chords played in sequence, and low open fifths in the left hand. There will be a lot of dynamic variety and hand movement, with some accidentals, nicely contrasting sections, and most of the composition being played legato, using overlapping pedal and a fairly strong touch.
