Rondo Capriccio

The student is challenged to play at a “very lively” tempo, and this piece is written in such a way that even younger students will be able to do it. Written in A minor, and using hand positioning that leaves the fingers directly over the notes to be played, the performer will play both staccato and legato, some eighth note runs of five notes or less, varying dynamics, and occasional excursions into the black keys.
