Mendelssohn: Scherzo in E Minor, Opus 16, No. 2

The most popular and enduring of Mendelssohn’s “Trois Fantasias ou Caprices, Op. 16,” this Scherzo is reminiscent of the overture for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” written two years previous to this one.
