Albéniz: Sonata in D

The famous Spanish composer Albeniz is mostly known for his guitar masterpieces, and yet his recognizable styling is beautifully suited to this 6/8 piano sonata, composed in the short, one movement format which is reminiscent of Scarlatti. It’s bright tempo and dance-like rhythms make it an excellent recital opener or encore.
