Dragonfly, Dragonfly

This charming solo is written in 3/4 meter and Middle C position. The melody is divided between the hands and uses a B-flat in the left hand, creating the key of B-flat major. There is minimal hands-together playing. The lyrics are written from a child’s point of view, wondering if a dragonfly is really a dragon, or a fly. An optional duet accompaniment adds rich harmonies and creates rhythmic stability for the young student.
