The Dolly suite, Opus 56, Gabriel Faure’s collection of six piano duets (for one piano, four hands), shows his lighter side as he portrays several scenes and moods of childhood. This suite got its name from Helene “Dolly” Bardac, the young, petite daughter of a friend of Faure’s. Edited by Gail Lew and James L.
