A chorale intro leads into a funky groove. Saxes take the heat with some hot solis, and the brass section stays busy as well. Rhythm section parts are critical, especially the bass, but it’s not too complex. Solo space for tenor 1 with plenty of backgrounds and lead trumpet range is to written B-flat above the staff.
