But Not for Me

Here’s a chart that everyone’s going to like! Tom Davis’ arrangement of George Gershwin’s well-known composition, But Not for Me, delivers a wonderful melody, written or ad lib solos for tenor and trombone, modest brass ranges, optional parts, and a swingin’ shout chorus. The students will learn about pedal points, rhythmic counterpoint and syncopation. Most importantly, Tom writes great charts that are well conceived, well written and fun to play. Enjoy! (3:13)
