Celebration Overture

Originally commissioned by the Midland Music Teachers Association in 1999, this exciting fanfare-filled piece is made all the more impressive by the work of two pianists at the keyboard. Syncopated rhythms, a relentless and exuberant pace, one part staccato against the other part legato, rolling broken-chord patterns, and shifts in tonality all combine and build dramatically to the final chords.
