Debussy: La plus que lente

The More than Slow Waltz is one way to translate this interesting Debussy work. The composer was apparently fascinated by the waltz form for many reasons, and this particular work represented a reaction to the wide-spread influence of the slow waltz in France’s social gathering places. It is written in G-flat major.
