This big band orchestration, “Du, Du, liegst mir im Herzen,” of Clare Fischer’s arrangement on the recording Latin Pattern begins with a piano introduction from the recording “Alone Together” (Clare Fischer) that establishes the Latin groove of this traditional German song. Later there is an open solo over a vamp that builds into a very exciting ensemble passage. Optional parts are included for flute, clarinet, French horn, tuba, and guitar.
