This delightful galop is the only known band work by Arthur Bird and reflects a clear and buoyant texture with a humorous lightness that is true to the popular dance. This edition comes directly from Bird’s handwritten manuscript, though Syler has reassigned certain parts to fit modern instrumentation. A rediscovered gem!
