Haydn’s Halloween Surprise

This solo is based on Franz Joseph Haydn’s “Surprise Symphony.” Students familiar with the theme from this symphony will be delighted with its transformation to the key of C minor. It has just the right sound for a Halloween solo and will surprise the audience with its dynamic contrasts. Older students will enjoy the humor in this piece.
