Menuet sur le nom d’Haydn

This delightful little miniature is an arrangement of Ravel’s short minuet for piano written in homage to Classical era composer, Joseph Haydn. It was composed in 1909 and published a year later in 1910. Ravel based the raw material for this minuet on the notes whose letter names are the musical equivalents of Haydn’s name. (2:00)
