Raphael’s Reverie

A lullaby dedicated to Loreta’s new Grandson, Raphael, born 11/12/2012. Written in triple time and the Aeolian Mode, this gentle lullaby uses dotted rhythms and sustained notes in all parts, useful for practicing vibrato. Arco and pizzicato are alternated with most parts in 1st position. Students are encouraged to use whole, legato bows, to evoke the calm, gentle nature of the lullaby. (2:50)
