Somersaults

Students literally will be doing “flips” with this piece as the left hand frequently crosses over the right hand to create the somersault effect, both visually and musically. Written in the key of C major and 4/4 meter, it is a good vehicle for developing agility at the keyboard. Rhythm patterns and melodic patterns are repeated throughout, aiding in learning and memorization. This is sure to be a fun piece for recitals and family gatherings!
