Summer Dances

This fantastic work by English composer Adam Gorb is set in three movements: Summer Day begins with a bold melody in 10/8 time, whose rhythm dominates the entire movement. Summer Night can be described as a “beach habanera” with a delightful and relaxing trumpet melody. The finale, Summer Party, uses a folk-like theme that is passed around the ensemble to a riotous and festive ending.
