The lyrical second movement, “Moon Glow on Chesapeake Bay,” is expressive and features a beautiful melody over lush harmonies. No visit to the area would be complete without seeing the blue crab which is the symbol of Chesapeake Bay. “Blue Crab Rag” brings the suite to a lively close with its quick tempo, syncopated melody, and ragtime jump bass.
