Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) created and dedicated the TZIGANE to the wonderful Hungarian violinist Jelly d’Aranyi. The premiere performance took place in the Spring of 1924. This work requires brilliance and great virtuosity from the performer. This edition is the first with complete bowings and fingerings, and addresses errors found in all previous publications.
