A rich musical texture results from the interweaving of the performances of four pianists at two separate keyboards as they produce wonderfully varied, flowing variations on Franz Gruber’s classic nativity song, “Silent Night.” The performers take turns singing the melody and adding layers of countermelody and accompaniment in a glorious blend of musical Christmas spirit.
